Victoria Killay
Chairman
Victoria Wendy Killay, MA, has over 27 years experience in financial markets. Ms Killay trained as a Financial Analyst with Merrill Lynch and Schroder Investment Management Ltd in London before joining IDS, a subsidiary of American Express, where she became a Fund Manager with special responsibility for Continental European stockmarkets and the United Kingdom. She was also director of marketing for CDC Investment Management Ltd, a subsidiary of La Caisse des Depots et Consignations, one of Frances largest and most respected financial institutions. Since the beginning of 1996, Ms Killay has been working as a consultant researcher for a number of management consultants in the financial sector. She has been a director of the Trust since its inception in 1996 and became its Chairman on 31 March 2005.
Rt Hon Lord Steel of Aikwood
Director
The Rt Hon Lord Steel of Aikwood, aged 73, was a Member of the Scottish Parliament and held the office of Presiding Officer (retiring in June 2003). He was a Member of Parliament from 1965 to 1997 and on his retiral was created a life peer. David Steel was leader of the Liberal Party from 1976 to 1988 and co-founded the Liberal Democrats with Roy Jenkins. A former British parliamentary delegate to the Council of Europe, in the 1989 European Parliamentary elections he was the first national of one country to stand in another member state, in the Central Region of Italy. He was President of Liberal International from 1994-96. He holds honorary doctorates from ten universities including his alma mater, the University of Edinburgh, was created a Privy Counsellor in 1977, knighted in 1990, awarded the Commander's Cross of the Order of Merit (Germany) in 1992, made a Chevalier de Legion d'Honneur of France and a Knight of the Thistle in 2004. He serves as a non-executive Director on boards of other companies including General Mediterranean Holding S.A which is listed in Luxembourg and is a former Director of Blue Planet International Financials Investment Trust plc
Dean Bucknell
Director
Dean is a Director and former Chief Executive of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd, the investment manager to the Company until June 2011. He is also a Director of Blue Planet Holdings Ltd and former Director of Blue Planet Global Opportunities Master Fund and Blue Planet International Financials Investment Trust plc. He is the Honorary Treasurer for the Anglican Chaplaincy in Malta & Gozo and was a Trustee and Honorary Treasurer for the English Speaking Union (Scotland) for two years, prior to his move to Malta.

John Tyce
Chairman
Mr Tyce has spent most of his working life as an investment analyst covering UK banks and financial companies. After leaving Manchester University where he had held a research fellowship in monetary economics, he trained as an analyst with Rowe Rudd and Phillips & Drew 1972-76. He joined Laing & Cruickshank, becoming a partner in 1979. From 1988-92 he was the Senior European bank analyst at Nomura, and from 1991-92 was Head of European equity research at Nomura Research Institute, London. Between 1992 & 2004 he was the senior bank analyst in London for Société Générale.
David V Thomas, OBE
Director
Mr David Thomas, aged 61, retired in 2007 from Lloyds TSB Bank plc after 31 years service in North & South America, Europe and the United Kingdom. In the latter part of his career, he was International Banking Director, based in London, where his role involved reshaping and developing the bank's diverse operations in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Prior to this, he had led Lloyds TSB's Latin American operations, with more than 4,500 staff in nine countries and revenues exceeding '250m from corporate banking, retail and private banking, and consumer finance. Until 2000, he had held various overseas posts, including chief executive of the Lloyds TSB Bank operations in France and, most recently, in Brazil. He was made an OBE in 2000 for services to the British Chamber of Commerce in Brazil. He now serves as Chairman on boards of three Luxembourg SICAVs sponsored by Lloyds TSB Group plc and is a non-executive director of UBA Capital (Europe) Limited. He is also a Governor of the English-Speaking Union of the Commonwealth, a director of the Brazilian Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain, and is a former Chairman of the Hispanic and Luso-Brazilian Council. The Directors believe his experience within the banking sector will be valuable to the Board's deliberations.
Kay Bendall

Dr Kay Bendall is a former Director and Head of Research at Blue Planet Investment Advisers Ltd. She is a Director of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd, Blue Planet Holdings and Blue Planet International Financials Investment Trust plc.
She has a distinguished career in telecoms and research in both Western and Eastern Europe prior to her appointment to Blue Planet Investment Advisers Ltd in 2003. She has a BSc (Hons) and a PhD in Computer Science and an MSc in Accounting and Finance with a distinction

Philip Court
Chairman
Philip Court, FCIB, FinstD, is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers with over 30 years’ experience in the building societies sector and is a former member of the Council of the Building Societies Association. He became Chief Executive of the Birmingham Midshires Building Society in 1973, a post he held until 1990. During that time the Birmingham Midshires’ assets grew from £25 million to over £3,000 million. He is currently a director of Noble Venture Capital Trust plc, Investor Champions plc and until September 2003 he was a director of Murray Financial Corporation plc. He became chairman of Investor Champions plc in August 2002. Mr Court was Vice Chairman of the Institute of Directors (Midland Branch) from 1983 to 1986, Chairman from 1986 to 1990 and Deputy Chairman from 1990 to 1994. From 1986 to 1990, he was also on the National Management Committee of the Institute of Directors. He has held several public appointments including directorships of Basildon and Telford Development Corporations. He has been Chairman of the trust since its inception in 1997.
D Christopher Jones
Director
D Christopher Jones was Chairman of the Catholic Building Society. He was with the Cheltenham and Gloucester Building Society from 1973 to 1996 during which time he helped negotiate mergers with some 19 other building societies. He was a senior member of the Cheltenham and Gloucester negotiating team in their discussions with Lloyds Bank plc resulting in the formal offer from Lloyds in April 1994. Since leaving the Cheltenham and Gloucester, Mr Jones acted as a consultant and advised the Bristol and West Building Society on its acquisition by Bank of Ireland. He has been a director of the trust since 1997.
Kenneth Murray
Director
Kenneth Murray is the founder and Chairman of Blue Planet Investment Management Ltd. He is a Director of Blue Planet Worldwide Financials Investment Trust plc and Labrador Coast Limited (formerly Blue Planet Investments Limited). He was a Director for Blue Planet International Financials Investment Trust plc and Blue Planet Financials Growth & Income Investment Trusts Nos 1-10 plc all of which he launched on the London Stock Exchange. In addition, he previously held a Directorship for Blue Planet Global Opportunities Fund.
In 1990, he founded The Bank of Edinburgh Group plc and the Bank of Edinburgh plc and was Managing Director of both companies until their sale in 1994. Shortly after its formation The Bank of Edinburgh Group acquired Goode Durrant Bank plc and in 1992 it agreed to acquire the Heart of England Building Society, which had assets of approximately '1 billion.
Prior to establishing The Bank of Edinburgh Group plc he was a Director of Fulton Prebon International Limited, one of the World's largest money brokers which had operations in London, New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney, Bahrain, Luxembourg and many other financial markets.
He commenced his career in the City of London as an Investment Analyst and was Senior Merchant Banking and Financial Sector Analyst at Greenwell Montagu Securities Limited. He held similar posts at Sheppards and Chase Stockbrokers Limited and Wood Mackenzie & Co Limited. He is a graduate of the University of Stirling and has a BSc with Honours in Economics and Computer Science.
